No One Should Be Left Out in the Cold!

Once again, Burch Oil is a participating provider in the "No One Should Be Left out in the Cold" campaign for the Southern Maryland region. Servicing over 200 homes of those in need, Burch Oil demonstrates that it is all about "people helping people."

This worthy campaign came to be because of Joseph P. Kennedy's "Joe for Oil." The Citizens Energy Oil Heat Program has delivered millions of gallons of discount home heating oil to poor and elderly households since 1979. This unique program helps protect needy families from volatile heating oil prices, which often leave households having to choose between heating the home and paying for other life essentials, such as food, health care, or clothing. In partnership with CITGO, Citizens Energy works with thousands of oil heat dealers and local fuel assistance agencies in 25 states to provide deliveries of home heating oil to those in need. The Oil Heat Program provides eligible families a one-time delivery of 100 gallons of home heating oil.

"Helping our neighbors is the right thing to do," stated Sheri Burch Norris, Director of Marketing for Burch Oil." Offering this assistance to people in our community is vitally important, as we truly believe that "no one should be left out in the cold."
